If your child (or yourself as a young adult) has been diagnosed with ADHD then you may want to discuss treatment options beyond medication. You may also be seeking post-diagnostic support and or parenting input.
The NICE guidance at nice.org.uk recommend CBT to help young people experiencing difficulties in social skills, problem solving, self-control, active listening skills and dealing and with expressing feelings.
Our clinicians can offer modified CBT to help with ADHD symptoms specifically, usually focusing on executive functioning (such as working memory, inhibition, planning, goal-focused persistence etc) and on emotional control and impulse control.
We are also experienced in working therapeutically with young people with ADHD to address other emotional health issues such as anxiety and low mood and difficult life experiences such as school issues, using a range of therapeutic approaches, adapting the treatment plan to accommodate your needs.
