PEERS® for Adolescents is an evidence-based social skills program for adolescents interested in making and keeping friends and handling conflict and rejection.
Participants are taught social skills through:
- Didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations
- Practice during group socialization activities
- Parent participation (parents learn how to assist adolescents in making and keeping friends)
Course Curriculum
Participants will learn about:
- Developing and maintaining friendships
- Conversational skills and electronic communication
- Entering and exiting conversations
- Appropriate use of humour
- Handling disagreements, teasing, and bullying
- Being a good sport and changing a reputation
- Organising get-togethers

Who: Adolescents aged 11–16 years old
