Is your child struggling with organisation, focus or managing day-to-day responsibilities? Our Executive Functioning Skills Workshop Series, led by one of our experienced Clinical Psychologists and our Assistant Psychologist, equips young people with practical tools to succeed.
Why it matters:
Executive functioning involves a set of coordinated cognitive skills that help your child engage in purposeful, goal-directed, self-regulated behaviour (McCloskey, 2012) and develop self-regulation: the ability to pause, adjust actions and work toward goals (Barkley, 2012).
Challenges with executive functioning skills are often seen in neurodiverse young people (such as in ADHD, autism Tourette’s Syndrome) and in young people with anxiety disorders. However, many young people experience these difficulties without any other diagnosis.
We will help your child with:
- Planning, prioritisation and staying organised
- Managing time and tasks effectively
- Improving focus, motivation and follow-through
- Ways to regulate emotions and handle stress
- Ways to set goals and solve problems confidently
